Rooster has porcupine quills stuck in waddles

Hi,

One of my roosters has managed to get a face full of porcupine quills. There aren't too many, maybe 5 or so, and they're all in his waddles on the inner side.

Has anyone else dealt with this before? How can I remove them safely (for both him and me!)?

I actually had a kind person reach out to me via Facebook and I was able to get them out with pliers, so I'm all set now haha!
