I have 3 roosters and 2 hens. You may be already thinking, "that's too many roosters!" I'm aware, but I just can't get rid of them. Just today, 2 of them started to fight and now one has a torn wattle. They did get frostbite from the severe winter in my area, so I don't know how to feel. Is there a way to patch this up easily? Maybe to prevent fights?

:welcome Well, if you can't get rid of them, you will need to provide separate pens as protection for them, and especially as protection for the hens.

Your fellas wattle bite will heal as will the frostbite. The numbers game though no, unless you get a ton and i do mean a ton more hens....or! You can give all the roosters a separate space, no girls! They fight for the ladies, no ladies no fights.;)

Definitely separate them from the hens...but it does depend on the breed. Some rooster breeds are just plain more aggressive than others, so they still might fight a little bit. But I doubt it would be as bad :) good luck :fl

I'll have to talk with my fellow household members about this. I feel like this should work. Thank you for the info!
