What type of chickens are they

Silkie and a mix of amaricauna/ copper Maran.

Were these pictures taken the same day as the ones posted above? I'm seeing the same blue blanket, and the chick is not feathered in like a 6 week old chick would be.....

I use the blue blanket when I let the chicks out, they seem to like it because it’s warm and fuzzy. And the photos were posted right after I took them. Idk y, but I have noticed that they are not growing their feathers as fast as I was expecting. I have extra protein in their feed to try to help. They get to have free range on warm days.

I hatched them, so they are not from a tractor supply or any seller

Yeah, that is really strange. It looks more like a 4 week old chick. I'm not going to try and make a gender guess right now, because if it's slow to feather, that would mean it's probably also slow to develop male characteristics, if it is male. I would wait until it is fully feathered, then post more pics.

It’s odd because it was hatched with others who are silkies, the other silkies were rehomed 2 weeks ago and are growing in better than mine. The only difference is they have a broody hen that took care of them at the new home. Could that be a cause of it? They all hatched within 24 hrs of each other. I’ll post the silkies that have a broody momma, and one of mine
