Rooster in need of new home

It would be like putting Duct Tape over a persons mouth and nose and then tell them to breath! A little extreme example, but the no crow collar is similar in the fact it has to be tight enough around the Roosters neck to be so uncomfortable and restrictive he does not want to crow.

IMO, I see this as inhumane to do to a Rooster who naturally crows for several different reasons other than make noise and crow for no reason.
There are different kinds I am talking about the one that basically makes it sound like a hen so it qiutes down and doesnt hirt....do you find shock collars to a dog inhumane? I am just curious cause I use them. But as a tool not a weapons so I am wondering where we stand and if we understand each other

I understand that about the no crow collar. Training tools for animals are just that used in the correct manor. The abuse of any animal at the hands of a person who misuses these training tools is cruel and inhumane treatment.

I believe we understand each other, I was not trying to start a argument, just give my personal option on the no crow collar. They are not a 100% guarantee to always work.

All no crow collars work on the same principle; preventing the bird from being able to breath in a large amount of air and get the neck into position to crow. Constriction of the throat is how this is accomplished. Many birds have died wearing these collars as they have choked trying to swallow something larger that usual or getting the collar caught on something. They are inhumane.
My dogs wear shock collars daily. When they see me haul them out they get very excited because they know it means they are about to go for a run. The stimulus level in the shock collar is adjustable to the dogs tolerance. When correctly used as a training tool and not as punishment, they are in no way inhumane and not comparable to a no crow collar.

You are supposed to put a no crow collar on so 2 of your fingers can slip under the collar. I don't see it as a choker- but roosters like to stretch their necks to crow, the collar makes them slow the stretch and think about something else while they crow so the crow is shorter. I also like to put a bell on the collar, because it is a good distraction. My rooster would still crow but not as loud. I don't currently have a rooster.

I know the concern of crow collars, because they could be misused.
