Now now, there is a definite exception for gamefowl males

I agree with the others, I only handle my Roosters when I need to. Praise him alot for taking good care of HIS girls and show him any treats so he can take credit, but no cuddles.

Ok so I have a hen that just started to lay eggs 2 days ago. She has only laid 1 egg so far (it was a double yolker) but my rooster is laying on top of her in the nesting box. Is this normal?

I gather you dont mean the rooster is laying eggs.
As fluffycrow says: Some roosters like to keep a hen company for safety or encourage their favourite hens to lay in the right spot.

My Cubalaya rooster would sit on eggs for hours at a time. He was giving the hen a break
