I'm new to backyard chickens (both the hobby and this site) and purchased some chicks back at the end of April - four Buff Orpingtons and a Cherry Egger.
They're now about 11 weeks old, and I'm guessing one of the orpies is a cockerel, based on the size and color of the comb. The pic below is from a couple of weeks ago, and if anything the difference is even more pronounced now.
I thought I'd run it by the folks here on the forum, to get your opinions. Unfortunately, we've got a local ordinance that prohibits keeping roosters, so it'd be good to figure this out as soon as I can. Since my neighbors are all in the same boat, finding him a good home could take a little while.
