Thank you for sharing your story with me, it gives me hope for poor bleu. He didn't seem to bleed much there but his comb was pretty beat up as well as the side of his face so it was har dto tell where all the blood was coming from...I also would never super glue an injury like that when it wouldn't do much good anyhow IMO. I love bleu and he is a great protector and treats his hens like gold. Special needs doesn't bother me one bit, I have a few hens with special needs already. It does look strange and makes me cringe when I look at it. I feel soooo bad for him, thats gotta hurt pretty bad

There are several people that I know that are firm believers of Poultry Drench. You cat get it at Tractor Supply. Its just a boost to help the chicken fight infection. If you can't take him to the vet I would try this. Good luck.

I have Vitamins and electrolytes in his water. He is back in with the flock with no more issues to have to worry about with the other roo. The other roo got his own coop/run with his girls. He can't seem to eat even when I made him scrambled eggs, after that I tried a wet mash with feed/yogurt and warm water. I managed to get a little down but he fought me pretty hard. I think it's because it hurts too bad right now. Dh and I are thinking of putting him down but we keep changing our minds because we love him so much. His beak is still attatched and seems to bleed a bit now and then. I may try giving him a round of penicillin (sp) to ward of any infection? What are the chances of his beak reattatching itself to the roof of his mouth since it hadn't been completely torn off?
