I've read this whole thread, this is a bad rooster. A good one doesn't behave like this, OP, you need to get rid of or cull this rooster. He's injuring and stressing your hens, that's not the way a good rooster behaves to his girls. You're right, no one would want a problem rooster except for soup. Unfortunately, your only realistic options are rehome for soup or make him soup yourself.
To keep him, separated or otherwise, isn't healthy. they don't deserve that. Perhaps you should rehome your whole flock if this is distasteful to you, as sometimes, stuff like this is completely necessary. I hope you find a good solution, good luck! :]
