Our rooster has been lethargic, Lost weight, and his comb is very pale. He also had a enlarged smooshy crop. I held him upside down to empty it out and fed him some olive oil. He pooped out a hard large pellet which contained tissue like pieces like a lash egg. Since then he has gotten more alert but he is super skinny and comb still pale not eating much of the oatmeal yogurt feed.He is drinking water with apple cider vinegar and
Clorid

He has been pooping soo much. First lakes of dark brown liquid, then mostly water, now nasty green diarrhea with largely undigested hay pieces and small tissue. His stomach makes grumbling sour sounds like a human with upset stomach
What is this?

Is his crop empty in the mornings?
It sounds like he may have a blockage.
The tissue looks like it might be Cecal core https://www.backyardchickens.com/th...pected-cecal-core-excretion-coccidia.1270073/

If you have vet care, that would be best.

It sounds like you might have several things going on. Crop or gizzard blockage, maybe Coccidiosis overload. Possibly infection.

I would probably start by treating the crop and also treat him for Coccidiosis.
You can find Corid at your feed store. The crop may be sour, try coconut oil, but you may need to get some Nystatin from your vet or follow the suggestion in the link below. Since he is passing a lot of undigested hay, that may be binding him up too. You can give him 1 stool softener (stimulant free) to see if that helps. Massage the crop a few times a day. Make sure he is drinking.

I would only offer him wet soupy feed and a little scrambled egg. No oatmeal, scratch or anything else. https://the-chicken-chick.com/the-shocking-effect-of-oatmeal/

If you have too, keep him separated out and use puppy pad to keep him from eating hay until this clears up.

Once you finish the Corid, then offer him some poultry vitamins.

Just my thoughts. Hopefully others like @dawg53 @Eggcessive @azygous and @casportpony will chime in.

Sounds like he was constipated, passed a blockage and had diarrhea that had built up behind the blockage. That looks like to me that he’s sluffed off some internal linings. Could of been blocked up for a while.
Sounds similar to severe lactose intolerance in humans... the constipated, passed a blockage, diarrhea built up behind the blockage part at least... maybe an underlying feed/diet issue? Once the acute care is settled, of course!@ske1806 you're in good hands here! Probably even better than most vets...
These people have such experience and knowledge it is wonderful they share it so selflessly.

Best wishes and my thoughts are with you and your boy!

You know he’s gotta feel better now that that has passed.
How miserable...some of us can relate.
Chickens will eat the darnest
stuff.

Your poor boy! Surely he feels somewhat better now. I hope the blockage was just that! And he can build back up some strength again now. I personally would very closely monitor his crop function for now, ensuring he has access to grit at all times. Best wishes!

I have never seen anything like that from a rooster. Something major has been going on in his gut and gizzard. I would agree with the others to give wet chicken feed and egg only, treat with Corid (amprollium) from the cattle medicines in your feed store, and consider treating with antibiotics for necrotic enteritis. Amoxicillin, tetracycline, and Tylan are some of the drugs that can treat enteritis, but Corid should be used first for an underlying coccidiosis infection. I would say his condition is pretty serious with those droppings, and there may be a lot of intestinal damage already.

Check his crop first thing each morning to make sure that it has emptied. The doccusate sodium or Colace stool softener may help move along crop contents. If you can get vet care, which may be difficult over the holidays, I would get some help.
