Rooster laying down on side

I touched him and he got up and ran around just fine did this for 4 months then found him dead last week what is this?

I'm sorry to hear that. do you mean over the past 4 months he would periodically be found on his side and then be roused by a touch. I wonder if it is something like a seizure disorder that finally got the best of him. I know some folks on this forum have sent their deceased chickens to get a necropsy to find out what may have caused the death. I'm not sure if the state agriculture department or the state department of environmental quality provides it.
