So my rooster's left eye has become red. It happened just suddenly yesterday as in the morning I saw him perfectly fine (or may be I didn't notice) but when I went back to check after 3 hours then I noticed this red eye. His eye lid was closed at that time but today I noticed that he has started opening eye lid.
At first I thought this happened to due fight with another rooster but I suspect it is due to some sand/dust getting into his eye! Or may be it is some kind of infection. I don't know what to do. Shall I give him Betnesol eye drops?

Eye appears to be completely red and I don't see that black pupil inside. He doesn't appear to have any physical issue or injury and he is eating, drinking, crowing, running and attacking me as usual.

His eye looks like it got pecked, or poked by another bird. Depending on how badly, he may end up blind in his eye. But it doesn't seem as bad as the rooster posted below.

This boy got blinded by a spur of another rooster. His eye was actually punctured.

Wow this sucks. Poor rooster. I wonder how they endure pain. I think God has made them more resilient to pain than us humans.

Today I noticed his eye looks much better. It seems to be healing up. I would say it is 80 to 90% same as before. I didn't give any medicine though as I thought his eye is a goner so it healed up on its own.
