This was for picture purposes. But rooster cogburn follows me everywhere. If I stand still he attempts to mate my feet dance and all. He flies up andsits on my shoulder or head. He loves me.....any other rooster love stories?

You were right he is gorgeous!Hubby and I bought George, along with 2 BO pullets and 4 RIR pullets from our local chook auction about 2 months ago.
Since then, all 6 pullets have started laying, the most recent starting about 2 weeks ago.
George did very little 'dancing' to start with. It is only in the last week he has learned to do the wing drop and romance his girls.
Prior to that he went with the tried and true "Jump out of no-where" mating method, and if that failed he resorted to the "Wait until the girls are eating and otherwise distracted, and launch a surprise mating" approach!![]()
Smooth!
I must say, George and the girls are the first chickens I have ever owned, and despite the hard work and constant worry (!) they are the absolute joy of my life. I can spend hours just sitting and watching them. And they are so FUNNY! I never would have thought they would have such different personalities.
I got my birds thinking "We will get some free eggs." I was wrong on that count. We got some very expensive eggs (thanks to all the money I spend on feed, bedding, special waterers, nesting boxes etc) but we also got some brilliant entertainment, some company, and (along with our 2 cats) a purpose to life.
They really are a delight.
I hope yours bring you as much joy as mine do for me. Krista
