I have a 7 month old rooster that I know has crowed. When the coop is shut in the morning I can barely hear him inside my house. I am wondering do they get louder as they get older?

Probably. Only time will tell. Every breed and bird is different. They make a thing called a "no crow collar". It is a soft velcro collar that goes around the roosters neck. It doesn't stop them from crowing, but it quiets the crow down considerably. My Pet Chicken carries these. I have never tried it but I have heard they work.

He doesn't seem so noisy to me. I love hearing him, I've only heard him in the mornings so far.
