Rooster not doing what he's supposed to.

My rooster did his deed all the time during summer and autumn. I could hear the ruckus all during the day. And I could clearly see him "attacking" my hens. He's not doing that at all now which means no chicks. Is something wrong with him? Or do roosters just take a break from doing this at times?

He's a little over a year. I have 5 hens and 3 are laying.

he should be breeding the 3 but may have matured so the ruckus is not as noticeable

that is the new boy in town they have to mature then hopefully they are able to hit the mark
