Rooster or hen? French marans

His conformation and physical traits aside, I thought I saw a small sliver of yellow on a toe in the pic you posted.

Breed isn't super important to me. Bummer I've got 3 roosters/cockerals, but they all seem to get along well, so they can stay for now.

Both are LF Cochins.

Agree, they look like Cochins.
If you look at Cackle's website, they have numerous pictures of every breed they sell. Some are pictures sent in by customers. It's a good reference and just fun too!

Doesn't look quite right for anything, but that's what I would guess.

They both have Vulture Hocks. A *HUGE* DQ for Marans. Acceptable for European bred Cochin. But I think it is a DQ in the US. but doesn't a Cochin have yellow skin? Marans can only have white skin. I'm at a loss.
