Rooster or hen Quail D'anver

I have one and tried it today. He freaks out! Flopping around and screaming and running. It seems inhumane?? I feel terrible. I love him but I can't have roosters in my neighborhood. I want him to be happy and that collar seems to really make him miserable.

they do have to get used to them. Its a very unnatural feeling to them at first but he probably could get used to it.
