An EE is an Easter Egger. Which is a bird that carries the blue egg gene, but does not fit into any breed standard. Did you get her from a feed store or hatchery? They commonly use Ameraucana as a way to increase sales of these mixed breed layers.

Ture Ameraucanas only come in 8 colours: Blue, Black, Buff, Brown Red, Silver, White, Wheaton, and Blue Wheaton.
They have slate, blue or black legs only
Pea comb only.
Face is hidden behind beard and muffs
Eyes are reddish bay
Beak can not be yellow (neither can soles of feet).
Hens ONLY lay blue eggs

Not only do they have to fit into all those categories, but they have to breed true 50% of the time. So if you have a hen that is white for example, and has slate legs and brown red eyes, but she does not give off offspring the exact same as her 50% of the time, she is considered an EE.

I'm saying all of this out of memory. The standard has more detail in it. It's very hard to find true Ameraucanas.

I love my EEs. They are great birds. I also love my bantam Ameraucanas as well.

This little chicken is about 6mos old, its pretty big compared to my other amerucauna and a little smaller than my currently laying buff's. It sits atop the water bowl and acts pretty bossy. Wanna guess? There is a TON of feathers around its face makes it look smaller than it actually is. I know what I think it is but interested to see what others think as the group as a whole has been accurate in guessing on my other babies..
This is a Hen I know it!
