Rooster or Hen?

Well everyone, we have a rooster! He started crowing today!

As I said, without a clearer whole body picture, we couldn't be certain of its gender. I'm sorry it didn't turn out to be a pullet. (

No Orpington. They have white legs, which is a dominant feature. Looks like it might be a New Hampshire.

Your 'rooster' looks like a red sexlink hen. How old is that bird?

My thought exactly. It has a very large comb and wattles even for a pullet at laying age, but everything else about that bird including color and rounded tail feathers says pullet.
