X2 on junebuggena's post. The only colors that true Ameraucanas come in are black, blue, blue wheaten, brown red, buff, silver, wheaten, and white. Any other colors, even if it has a pea comb, beard, muffs, and slate blue legs is considered by the Ameraucana Breeders Club to be an Easter Egger and not a true Ameraucana. Unfortunately, hatcheries and feed stores frequently and incorrectly label their Easter Eggers as Ameraucanas and sell them to unsuspecting customers under the incorrect label of Ameraucana.
