I have a lovely little Silkie/Sebright mix who is confusing me just a bit. The look of the bird is more rooster like, but personality is a little more hen like plus no crowing. I’d just like a bit of help with confirming. I am beginning to believe that the bird is a rooster due to their look but I’m still unsure on how to really tell. (I’m pretty sure part of me wants to think it’s a hen because I don’t want to have to find a home for another rooster since I already have to rehome two.)

Hi there. :frow

Can you state the age? And add a picture showing the saddle area? Though Seabrights are hen feathered so that may not matter much.

Currently thinking cockerel. But will wait for age. :fl

All of them are 5 months old.

STUNNING little cockerel. :) You're giving me ideas as far as future crosses from my own flock....:love

They’re very, very pretty! Definitely double trouble though, they take on a little more of a bratty attitude some times, just like our Sebright hen, but are pushovers when they’re held just like my Silkie rooster. Very odd little birds, but I’m very fond of them.
