Rooster or hen?

I recently purchased two chicks. Upon purchasing, the women told me I had two hens as I can’t have a rooster in my neighborhood. As they get older I’m starting to wonder if I have a rooster and a hen on my hands. I’ve only had them about 6 weeks.

You think both are? hahah i can only hope I keep reading that the feathers on top are an indicator as well. That hens are more smooth and the roosters are a bit more spikey? I am really hoping for two hens. Guess I’ll just have to wait and watch them grow more. Thanks soo much

Much to young still for sexing Polish. If I had to guess right now, my gut says both are cockerels. But like I said its much to early to say for sure just now. Post pictures at about 10-12 weeks of age.

They are too young to determine the gender. Post pics of the saddle feathers, crest, and comb at 12 weeks.

Did the woman perform any of the old wives tale sexing methods or were these hatchery sourced birds ordered as ven sexed pullets you were purchasing from a store or private party? 6 weeks ago the latter would be the only way for such an assertion to have been made with any validity (and then only with about 90%accuracy)
