Hello all!! I am new to chickens. I have 10 Amerucana chickens...7 weeks old. I want to remove the roosters and put them in their own pen....however...i have NO IDEA whats a rooster or a hen!! I am going to assume these big guys with larger combs are roos? Take a look!

ALSO uploaded 2 photos of which i feel may be hens...they have puffy cheeks and are absolutely gorgeous.

You nailed it. ;) Fantastic job! :thumbsup Also, these would be considered Easter Eggers, not true Ameraucanas. The former is often mislabeled as the latter.

Gorgeous birds. :love

Yepper, the larger and redder combs and wattles at 7 weeks are males.
..and with pure Am's most likely the ones with 3 rows of 'peas' in comb are males.
This one has an odd comb...maybe it's just the angle of the shot.

Why don’t you add a few more full body shot pics? Usually an EE has green legs and is the first glaring clue that it is not true Amerucana. Since yours have slate legs and nice pea combs, this is good. However, I’ve never had Amerucanas, so that is all I can offer! I hope you do have Amerucana!
