Rooster or Hen?

On the subject of breeding (seeing as sexing them has been sorted) the cockerel in the second photo appears to have a small crest and I wonder if the breeder has been working o a project and using a crested cream legbar to bring in some different genetics to create a new colour Ameraucana... perhaps barring since these birds seem to be mostly barred... without compromising the blue egg colour. I'm no expert on genetics, but that would seem logical to me.
What was your intention in buying Ameraucana as oppose to EEs that you paid more money for them? Were you looking to show them or perhaps just wanting blue eggs? If you are buying a pure breed to show, the seller would generally specify the colour variety of the birds they are selling. If they didn't specify a colour then that is a hint that these will be none standard birds.

Oh no really?!! ? I bought and paid for pure bred Amerucana chicks!!! Was i lied to? Ugh.....they all have slatw blue legs...purchased them from someone that breeds Amerucana chickens and makea a living on this has a business!! Omg :(
Sadly, yes. True Ameraucanas have slate legs, beard/muffs, pea combs, and are only available in specific color varieties, including: Wheaten, Blue Wheaten, Blue, Black, Splash, Buff, White, Lavender, and more. Your birds appear to be of Crele-ish type, and most are crested (neither of which is an AM trait). Perhaps they have Legbar background?

Also, Easter Eggers sometimes sport slate legs. Since there is no standard for EEs, the possibilities are practically endless.

Well none are roosters or hens and not one is a purebred Ameraucana.
They are cockerels and pullets, as they under a year. They all appear to be moxed breeds, possibly with Ameraucana way back in their heritage.

A lot of people make a business selling 'purebred' Ameraucanas that are actually easter eggers. They know people want them and they take advantage of those who don't know the difference. It's all money to them.

If they can't tell you the SPECIFIC color of what they are breeding and/or trace parentage then they are lying or just as clueless as the breeder.

It's not you, it's them. And we all have big hatcheries to blame who started the confusion in the first place.
