At 18 weeks a cockerel would be apparent....the plummage would not be this evenly toned, rather dull coloring....darker, glossy areas would be seen, hackle/saddle feathering would have emerged and the comb/wattles would be significantly more developed.....this is a pullet in every way

I think it is a pullet. I have had Buff Orpingtons and they begin crowing rather early. I think Mimi 13 says it best

Well I'm very glad as that means more eggs for us!

And Miss chicken doesn't need to die and be rehomed lol!!
