Hello! I have four golden comet chicks (nearly two weeks), and one is developing faster than the others. She already has her full wing feathers and the start of a tail, whereas the others only have about half of their wing feathers and (aside from tiny little nubs), no tail. Might the one developing faster be a rooster? I hope not, as I'm not allowed to own a rooster due to town laws :fl

Photos?
Feathering doesn't mean anything unless the birds were specifically bred to have feather sexing traits. I myself had a cockerel that grew faster than any of the girls.
Plus I've never heard of the boys growing faster with feather sexing, more like the other way around.

Ok, thanks. I'm not sure if they were breed with the purpose of feather sexing. I just wasn't sure because her feathers where more developed than the others. Maybe she was just a tiny bit older.

Actually cockerels develop a lot slower than pullets believe it or not, so the slower one is likely a cockerel or a pullet. Plus golden comets are sex-links so its simple to tell between them because pullets and cockerels look very different

Sorry, I don't believe it.
That only works if a you cross a fast feathering bird with a slow feathering bird.
I have had lots of girls develop slower than the cockerels.
But as @JacinLarkwell says, these birds are sex linked. Photos will show the genders.
so the slower one is likely a cockerel or a pullet
That's given, isn't it? Most chickens are either a pullet or a cockerel lol.

Lol I think we all know that, I’m not sure why I included “likely” however, I meant it might be either one.

Is this diagram a fairly accurate universal determinate? Or is this for a specific breed? That can be very helpful

Thank you everyone! Here are some pictures. After looking at the drawing @Chicken sent, they might all be roosters 😂. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Are these good enough? Should I try again?

If they are golden comets they are pullets. Cockerels start to feather in white. Where did you get them? What color are their legs.
