Rooster or Hen?

Adding my "cockerel" vote.

Putting him in with other Australorps or Barnevelders would be great, I would think! Mutts are my favorites, they are unique unto themselves. I've heard good things about Faverolles. If it was my project, I'd put in a couple of cochins too, for color, fluffy legs, temperament and broodies! Though Australorps sometimes go broody themselves. My best broody ever was an Australorp!

Thanks for the suggestions I will look into those breeds. I havent come across many breeders here in South Australia who breed them though. I have thought about breeding the Australorp back through, hopefully I can keep the pretty colours going
