Rooster or Hen?

One of my other "hens" has gotten a sex change in the coop too. Gotta find the bird doctor doing this and ban him.

Was this your first home-grown chicken? Most of the birds at the store don't have much room to move around when alive and are butchered at 6-8 weeks, cornish game "hens" are butchered at 4-5 weeks.

It was in the fridge in a pan of salt water for 24-36 hours. I'm thinking about making a chicken stew in the pressure cooker out of the next one.

He was shivering after just 24 hours and there was poop on the milk jug. I'm not sure I want to leave him in there any longer.
