Rooster or Hen?

DO Russian Orloff hens have spurs? My Russian Orloff have huge spurs and we're not sure if it's a rosster or a hen.

No hens are supposed to have spurs (visible ones) especially when showing. Some hens can grow spurs out a couple centimeters, but most of the time they don't. Roosters will have sickle feathers like the one below, and hens don't, like the one on your avatar. Does you Orloff look like this?

I once saw a hen with huge spurs. I think it was a deformity.

Yep, one of my 6 Leghorn hens is growing big fat spurs. It happens occasionally
