Yesterday I post picture of my 2 chicken and you tell me that plymouth is a rooster.

My friend take other picture of the rest of the group. I think the most darkness is a pullet, right? Ok the picture is not clear. The problem is that I need to exchange very soon since my friend moved out of town. I would preferably barred either light or dark. With these photos, do you think mine is always a rooster and can you help me identify a hen in those in the pictures? Thanks for all

in first pic is a dominique boy. he has a rose comb- dominques have that.

do you know the parents of these birds? many of them seem mixed. what are the white ones supposed to be?

If you know the parents were a non barred roo over a barred hen(any breed- rock, dominique or...) then ALL barred birds are male.

the only obvious pullets are the solid black one and the brown one. some of the whites seem maybe female(seems a lot are maybe female but pic is too fuzzy to be sure- theyre the one with smaller thinner heads with much less pink/red on comb and faces)

the very light barred ones definitely are mixes and both are male. actually- kind of suspect all of the birds are mixes or crosses. Still can be good birds but that can complicate sexing by the barring unless you know the father was not barred and the mother is..

the breeder told me that the parents were chanteclerc (white), chanteclerc partridge (brown) and plymouth but are actually dominique that I could understand.
