i had a rooster who was nice to me and good to the ladies but i sold him to his own flock for his safety(because my EE rooster) and because at the time i had him and 2 others and it was not fair to the hens now i have just my EE rooster

In Dawson's case, I just didn't have any hens for him or the other two. I'd ordered English Orpington hatching eggs and they were the only three to hatch, and of course were all males. I kept them in a bachelor flock for a long time, but I decided it was fairer to them to move them out because I didn't think I would ever have the hens for them, they were BIG boys and I have mostly bantam hens anymore. Then one of the other two roosters in that flock attacked me and I knew he really had to go; he'd waited up on their perches for me to peek in the coop and then flew at my head. Dawson was never mean like that, maybe a bit bitey at times if I reached for him too fast, but he would even let my at the time 12 year old niece pet him and mess with his wattles, he was a gentle guy. I was so glad when someone wanted him as eye candy for their flock of layers.
