How do any of you feel about Non-Fighting Muff Games?
I'm planning on making Oriental Non-Fighting Muff GameFowl.
My plan is to breed My:
Maran/GameFowl cross cockerel to one of my Red JungleFowl Pullet's.
Breed my Black Birchen EE to the other Red JungleFowl. Breed the offspring together from both sets of parents together until I get a large muscular bird that looks like a fighter, but is actually a big baby, & won't kill, or injur another rooster/Cockerel. There's alot of people out there who want rare GameFowl, but don't want to take the risk of it attacking them, or their birds.

My EE Cockerel.

These boys has the tail, face, & body type of a fighter, which is the look I need.

You guys all have some gorgeous boys. Nothing special around our house, but heres ours:

"Sir Butts-A-Lot" the black silkie. He's really not that bad, but he's definitely got a severe Napoleon complex going on.

Big Red. He's supposed to be a welsummer, but he won't be winning any awards for it.

Hanklin, or just Hank. Some kind of "fancy" brahma I picked up off craigslist. The only "actual" rooster we have, the others are only 8 months old. Hes actually a really good rooster, so hopefully he's teaching these younger ones how to behave as they get older.

And this guy actually lives with ducks for now. He had some really bad wry neck about two months ago and ended up living in the house for a couple weeks. He was always the bottom of the pecking order, but after being out of the loop for so long, the others really weren't having him. Hei-Hei ,named after the chicken in the movie "Moana"... earned his name during his case of wry neck. In case there's any confusion, he's the one on the right.

Sounds like they won't have enough gamefowl in them to be considered gamefowl. Regardless, it's a cool idea.

The Red JungleFowl is the base component too all Gamefowl breeds.
I know it's a cool idea. I'm gonna do this along with my Wheaten Crele Orpington Project.

Still aren't the same as gamefowl. Trying to completely recreate games would be interesting, but very time-consuming and wouldn't really be worth it. Sounds more like an entirely new project breed.

It's not a new project breed, just a non fighting breed.
Look up the origin of Gamefowl? It'll tell you that JungleFowl would be taken, for the sole purpose for fighting cocks.

I am aware that junglefowl were first domesticated to be fighting cocks. That doesn't change anything. If you tried to completely recreate gamefowl with a couple of junglefowl, a possible gamefowl mix, and an Easter egger, it would take an extremely long time, and they wouldn't turn out the same. It's better to create some sort of project breed with a lot of game in them, or to get purebred gamefowl and carefully breed in the traits you want while also keeping them as game as possible in other aspects.
