Do roosters crow in the middle of the night?

Ours has already. I thought he always went outside to check if the area was clear, but not everytime.

I think I am missing something...is he just making sure everyone has gone to bed or is he going after one of the hens?

Ferro, our rooster is cooling it right now with the heat the way it is. Yesterday he and all the hens were laying in a pit together

Sometimes he chases one hen around and she tries to get away. He does his little wing dance. He pulls one wing down and stopms his feet. It reminds me of someone getting mad.
