Rooster Recipes?

I've never heard of adding egg to marinade for chicken. I'll have to try that.

although I would like to try marinating it with eggs.

State fair, county fair's, other events, fire departments, boy scouts, all that have chicken bbq's use the same sauce. Either Lupo's or Salamida's, they also make excellent Spedie marinade.
I've marinated chickens, and chicken spedies for many yrs with homemade sauce and never knew why it was never as good as commercial sauce.
Until I read this article, apparently they add egg, hmm really that's weird I thought. Checked a bottle on the store shelf and sure enough it said in the ingredients list contains egg. And in small letters on the front said "famous Cornell style".

"The egg is a key ingredient. It helps the sauce stick to the chicken, as the albumin denatures and binds to the chicken skin, and it keeps the oil and vinegar emulsified together. "

Pretty interesting article.

I’m going to kill my *accidental* rooster so I can sleep and don’t have my neighbors or the police coming to my doorstep. It’s gonna be a farewell to my EE but he’s around 3-4 months old. I’m just asking for recipes that’s simple and delicious. (Rather butcher it over giving it away)
Coq au vin is great- It is actually meant to be made with rooster - it literally translates to Rooster in wine. There are many great recipes on the web. The key is the slow simmer, rooster meat is a bit thicker/tougher and can hold up to be simmered.
