Rooster rough with hens

are they all rough and mean?

yes and no
he is bigger already than they are, not by much but he is.
I thought it was awful young fir hum, but he was hatched by me in November

How old are the adult hens? How many do you have? What is the size of your coop and run?

Even though he is larger than they are he should be respecting the adults at this age. If he is already that much of a jerk he may only get worse as he gets older. If he is making their lives miserable you should seriously consider separating him for now (or permanently).

I have 2 adult hens plus his mom, the coop is 16x24and they have a run 8x20 plus free range on an acre.
I am going to separate them for now, I really wanted him to be a girl, so I didn't have this problem.
