Just kidding. But one of my plymouth rocks is sitting on my black stars eggs. What i am curious about is: I plan on eating these eggs and when i gather them in the morning they are pretty warm from being sat on. Are they still good to eat even though they have been warmed up. I figured they are fine but just wanted to be sure. Also does this mean I have a broody hen. The hen is not attached or anything usually when i open the box the hen just gets up and walks out. Thanks for any advice.

They are fine to eat, and you are probably just interrupting her from laying an egg when you find her on the nest in the mornings.

If she were broody she wouldn't leave. She is resting after an egg
or she is getting ready to lay an egg. Your eggs are fine if you gather
daily. The hens have to really be locked down to develop anything.
Eggs are warm when first layed too.

BTW..Some of my roosters do sit on the eggs but, not long.
It seems they are showing the hens a good spot. He sits
in the nestbox and clucks out the door to the hens.
