I believe it's 1 drop right into the beak. Not down the throat just inside the beak.

How long should I let her go like this. She can't eat and won't drink. I don't want her to be suffering.I believe it's 1 drop right into the beak. Not down the throat just inside the beak.
She is not doing any better. She is now breathing with her mouth open. I think it is time to put her down but I don't know if I can do it. And what method do you use? This is the hard part of owning animals.I gave 1 drop 3x day, it's tricky but try to get a drop (not mixed) at the tip/side of beak or if you can drop into the front of the beak but NOT down the throat. Expect to get sprinkled with PolyVisol as it will try shaking it out of it's mouth.
Are you mixing the some boiled yolk with it's feed & some water? I hand fed mine in the beginning, then it would flop around to get around, if you leave water in the area put in a very shallow lid with paper towel under it. Mine would spill it when flopping around but as it got better (took forever, 2wks) could walk & make it to the feed itself.
You need to be the judge how much longer you want to try, if she's not eating, how long has it been? Is she really weak? Is she quiet? How is it's breathing? It's hard to nurse animals, they can't tell us where it hurts & fortunately they don't have to suffer, the hard part is WE need to make the decision when it's time to let it go....Best wishes & good luck
She seems to be very strong when I pick her up. She flaps her wings and moves her feet. Her head may be less wobbly. I will see how she is in the morning and if no change I will put her down. She is not doing any better. She is now breathing with her mouth open. She died on Wed.Oh I didn't see this post, sounding good, I would give her another day or two. It really depends on how much time & work you want to put into this having a 50/50 chance. Good luck & keep us posted.
