I get chickens for the purpose of pets, and I've done this for well over a decade. (I think they're adorable.) At this point, I only have two, and I've recently (today) discovered that both--not just one--are roosters.
I picked them out of a box from a local farmer instead of purposely getting females from a hatchery. (What are the odds, huh?) I have no hens for them to fight over, and they seem to get along swell save for little moments where they pick on each other a little. So far, no injuries.
But I've recently moved them from their temporary inside-residence within the garage to their permanent-outside coop now that they have all their feathers so they can frolic outdoors, and I'm afraid this may change things between them.
Is it safe to stick two roosters alone together in a coop? Or will they end up killing each other?
They're very socialized, and love to cuddle with me on my lap while we watch movies. (I've named them Fish and Chips) Fish is a lazy cuddler, but Chips is obsessed with everything shiny, and especially loves unzipping whatever zippers he can find. Both of them get noticeably annoyed and nippy if they see me showing more affection to one over the other (but mostly Chips). Nippy both to me and the one I'd be currently holding. Chips is the dominant one.
I've tried to find something about it online, but all the articles and advice I come across are for roosters where hens are involved.

the neighbor had 3 bachelor Roos that used to come visit. they all got along just fine. his hens were cooped up. They stopped visiting when I accidentally killed one. but i still hear them every morning.
