Rooster vent?

Hey there! Random question... What is a roosters vent supposed to look like? While checking my flock for mites, I noticed his is the same bright red color and texture of his comb and wattle. Is that normal? He doesn't seem bothered by it. He was more offended that I kept looking at his junk.

Don't worry. He'll eventually get used to it. I checked my chickens regularly and the roo was always the one to put up a fuss about having his rear inspected.

He'll change color back there usually, depending on his skin color and his.... "mood". Don't worry unless his face gets much redder while you're checking back there.

Then you know for sure he's been embarrassed. Hhehe
