Hello, I'm quite worried about one of our roosters that we hatched out last August. He's very weak and sits hunched over and droopy. A few days ago it had snowed, so was very cold, and the day after we found him like this, as well as dragging his wings on the ground. I immediately isolated him and put him in a much warmer box, and he seems to have picked up a little as he's not dragging his wings anymore but he seems to trip over his own feet and falls over from even the slightest nudge. He shows some, but not alot of interest in food and his poop is pretty normal, not too watery or anything. I still don't know what could be wrong with him though.
I worry because he was living with 5 other roosters (his hatchmates) in the coop, and honestly they look to be a little clumsier than usual as well. Their pen is separated from the hens' pen by only a thing wire mesh so I assume illnesses could be transferred very easily. I really don't want this to be an issue that affects the entire flock so if anyone has any advice on what could be wrong with him it would be much appreciated
Ive attached a photo of him this morning, as well as a photo of him with some of his brothers from a month or two ago so you can see the difference
Thank you!
Bethany

Let's not assume an incurable avian virus until after you treat for the most simple and obvious - hypothermia. It's as easy as supplying extra heat for the roosters to warm themselves, and give them warmed Gatoraid or electrolytes in their drinking water, warmed up. Let them have this for the next 24 hours.

Thank you! I'll try that. I've already moved him to a warmer area, and might do the same for the rest of the birds. Don't think I'll be able to find any gatoraid here in Ireland 😅 but I'll definitely try the electrolytes, thank you!
