hi so recently our brahma rooster started to develop this swelling in his face and we thought it was a respiratory infection so we went ahead and gave tylosin in his water for 5 days but it doesn’t seem to be going away instead its gotten bigger. Just today i noticed some like bubbles in the corner of his eye but other than that he’s been eating and drinking fine.Ill attach a photo in case anyone might know what he has or what else to give him. I’d greatly appreciate any advice thank you !

A swollen face can be either MG (mycoplasma gallisepticum) or infectious coryza. Coryza causes a bad odor from the face. Does he smell bad? Was he pecked around his ear or face? Have you added any new birds recently? Testing is the best way to know what disease he has, or if he might have something inside his eyelid causing infection. I would work on getting some of the possible solid pus out from around his eye. Look up inside the roof of his beak for any gunk up there. Is he drinking well. If not he may not have gotten enough of the Tylosin. You may try to give him some in a syringe orally. If he has a bad odor, and coryza, he may need sulfa antibiotics, such as sulfadimethoxine. Here is a graphic video of removing pus from the swollen eye:

Hello thank you for the advice but he doesn’t smell bad and he doesn’t seem to have any puss the small substance i saw was more like bubbles than puss. Before the swelling i never noticed any pecking, he does currently have scabs on it and i think it’s because our guinea peck him after he mounts them. We had added new chick a few months back and around the same time we lost 3 other chickens including herself and that’s why we started giving tylosin because they all showed signs of respiratory issues. The treatment was at the beginning stage of his facial swelling so i hoped tylosin would help but it just seemed to grow bigger ,I just checked his mouth and no gunk but his tongue does seem swollen. I’ll try to see if i can remove any puss and hopefully giving him tylosin orally this time around will help if not ill be going ahead with denagard
