Rooster with feet that wont bend

I just noticed that my rooster is walking funny and feet are stiff and wont bend at all.
I brought him in the house . I thought maybe it is from the extreme cold we've been having.It was 15-20 below la night. Any ideas? I don't really have money for a vet but will call them. his feet are still yellow like his legs. He is eating and drinking. He just has trouble getting around. He holds his wings down for balance.


**Update** He seems a little better. He's satnding better but just on one foot. He keeps one leg up and one wing down for balance. He is still very into food and water. His feet also bend more now.

Keep him inside. If his condition doesn't improve, call the vet.

Watch his feet for frostbite.

I figured out that even though he had a touch of frostbite, that wasn't his major problem. His knee was swollen and hot. It has gone down and he is walking on it some now. I have no idea of how he injured it.
