Rooster with lame leg

Does his foot seem to be numb or asleep? Does he put the foot down and try to put weight in it or hold it up, hopping on his good foot, most of the time. How old is he exactly?

He is not putting any weight on it and I want to say 6 months old

Have you considered Mareks disease? I hate to even mention the possibility, but he is at the right age to see symptoms. Hopefully it is not that, and injuries are much more common. If he is not putting weight on it, taping it may not help. But you can certainly try wrapping it for support, but just don’t wrap it too tight. Here is some reading about Mareks:

I have read up on this but I am leaning towards no as he was walking fine then there was the fight and him running then the limping, but anything is possible

I am really hoping that it is not Mareks. Is there any possibility that you could get the leg xrayed by a vet in your area? I would confine him with food and water. Try some aspirin his water 325 mg in 8 ounces water, or 1 tablet 81 mg twice a day given orally in in food. B Complex vitamins 1/2 tablet daily would be good to give.

Thank you all for the great help. I do have one more question I currently have foghorn in my laundry room because it started raining buckets and the spot we put the coop which I included a pic was in a place it started to get flooded but my question is if this coop will be ok for him to recover in? I can't keep him in my laundry room because we go in and out and it's not a quiet place. I'm going to move it to a different spot.

If he will be by himself I think it would be fine.

I have a white cornish rock cockrell we have had him since a chick and has been doing well with the rest of the flock other chicks where hens so he is now coming into his own and our original rooster which is some kind of American mix breed has been attacking him showing hes the boss back off. Well now not sure from trying to get away or Fonzie the alpha rooster at this time hurt him but Foghorn is limping and will not put any weight on his right foot and his foot seems warmer which makes me think infection. Any advice on what I can do I have had Foghorn isolated for 3 days and no improvement. Also was thinking splint and amoxicillin if that is safe. Can't find a vet that will look at a chicken. Thanks in advance for any advice and help.
back in april, my barred rock hen was in the nesting box and when i opened to gate to go into the run, she must have thought i was bringing treats, and she flew out of the nesting box, hit the perch and stumbled to the ground,,i rushed to pick her up and her leg was just wobbling from side to side..of course its good friday and i have to wait the weekend to call the vet.....long story short, we tried to splint it, but she kept tearing off bandages...it never bruised or turned color, or was there any swelling and was alway warm to the touch,,,,,went to vet finally on tues, i had put her in a dog cage with a box for her bed or if she needed to lay an egg....i kept food and water in there with her.....vet wanted $1500.00 for surgery to see what was going on, i opted for and antibiotic in case of infection.. kept her penned up for the 10 days on antibiotic and then another 28 days of withdrawl , we didnt eat her eggs for all that time...so needless to say, 4 1/2 months later miss charlotte barely had a limp...during that incubation period, we would let her out in the run with the other girls and let her hop on one leg, so she could get some excercise, and see her friends, and every nite put her back in the cage....yes she has a limp, but she runs as fast as any of the other hen...she truly is a trooper, so glad i cuddled her and let her rest to recovery........so good luck and hope your young boy pulls thru
