Rooster with one wattle

Unfortunately, all roosters crow. If he doesn't crow then he is a hen.

It seems that all normal roosters crow.
But this one doesn't seem quite normal.
So at present, I wouldn't try to predict one way or the other.

I'm pretty sure I see male-specific feathers (narrow & pointy) in the hackle area, and maybe in the saddle area as well (not quite so sure there.) So I'm pretty sure he is a cockerel, not a pullet.

(And some hens crow too, just to confuse us!)

There are half and half male female chickens, extremely rare but they are split down the middle sometimes with one waddle and different colouring but that would depend on the breed

Nothing to worry about! Are his saddle and hack feathers pointed or round?
I think they look pointed.

I’m new at this but I’m almost 💯 percent sure he’s a rooster and because he’s not quite normal, I’m hoping he won’t crow. I’ll keep you updated. So far not a sound 😆

Ya, he looks like a rooster. i was questioning it at first, but a closer look at his saddle and hackle feathers concluded you are right as far as I can tell.
