Went out this morning and saw my roosters face was swollen on one side and under his beak. Any ideas what this could be or how to treat? There's no cuts or anything like an injury. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Could he have been stung by something or pecked? Can you open his beak and look for any yellow matter inside? Have you ever seen any Mareks or tumors in your flock before?

I was thinking he got stung or bit by an insect. Doesn't look like he was picked on there's no blood or peck marks. Can't see anything obvious and the lump on the side of his face feels kind of hard. Haven't had any tumors or Marks as of yet. He's so swollen he's having a hard time drinking. I'll try to get a good look inside his mouth when I get home but I haven't seen anything yellow coming out of it.

I was wondering about canker which can cause yellow growth inside the beak. It can smell very bad. If it is a sting, then giving a one time dose of 1/2 tablet of 25mg Benadryl to see if the swelling goes down.

I will check for canker, as for the Benadryl do you put the pill crushed in food or put the whole pill in his mouth? I'm not sure the best way to administer it?

Easiest is to pull down on the wattles and put it into his beak to swallow, but any way is okay. If he will eat food, it can be given that way. Is he drinking fluids? I would hold a cup up to his beak often.

There is definitely some yellow stuff inside his mouth. What do you suggest for treatment of canker?

So i gave him 1/2 of a 250mg aquazole crushed and put it in water. He drank most of it and I left the rest with him for the rest of the night, hopefully he drinks it. Also do I need to treat the entire flock, since this is contagious or just treat birds that show symptoms? Thank you!
