I was checking my rooster's collar to loosen it, and when I took it off, I saw this weird feather growth. I felt a small bump under his skin and could see some small feathers poking out. It's on the back of his neck. It looks like a small feather cyst. Is it serious? How do I treat it?

How do I treat it?

Leave the choking collar off. It strangles the poor bird and even can lead to death.

You can carefully grab the tip of the stuck feathers and pull until they are no longer covered by skin. Disinfect prior and after dealing with the feather cyst.

But understand for yourself what's happening when your inflicting something different on your chicken, like a no crow collar and try to remedy the situation quickly.
