rooster without his crow

i have a rooster that has lost his crow. it started about a week ago and is getting worse. now he has no sound at all. HELP

Im sorry that this has happend to your poor roo.

I am also sorry to say that I have no idea what could of happend.

So sorry I can't help. I have only known a roo to barely crow at all, but that is just b/c of the breed the roo was, I have never heard of a roo crowing like normal and then losing his crow.

the older a rooster is the less they crow, and older birds tend to get respiratory diseases and don't have the capacity to crow as much. I hope your rooster is ok

I'm in the same situation. My 1.5 yr old rooster started getting hoarse and now he can't crow anymore. I have no idea why. Otherwise he is fine. Please let me know if you find out anything. Best of luck to your rooster!
