Rooster won't let some hens eat

Yay I hope so , he does like some of them last night he was perching with like three pullets and when I went to get one to put her in ( they always went in by themselves until he came along and they now want to sleep outside with him) he pecked us lol he didn’t want us to touch her

It should all change when the pullets are laying eggs and the rooster is fertilizing them.

I've got a game rooster and when I got him I kept him in a pen. I found a game hen for him and after a few days he killed her. After we discovered the rooster and our American Pit/ Australian Shepherd dog were not fighting but playing after the rooster got loose a couple times we decided to let him free roam the yard. After 6 or 8 months I started feeling bad for him and got another hen. They do good together until I feed him and he immediately starts frantically trying to protect his food. I have to feed him in one spot and move away about 20 feet and feed the hen. They play musical food piles until he's full and he's back to normal. When he's eating he'll attack anything or anyone he feels may take his food. The dogs and cats have all got a taste of his flogging and stay well away from him now. Not sure why he's so defensive about his food... He gets plenty to eat .
