Rooster?!

Yeah!!!! He is a little bit larger than all the others and he has a bit of red and none of the others do yet!

We really tried hard to get a roo! We have 11 babies! I know that's hard to believe but I really want to show our kids the hatching process.. and we had a rooster before and he was like a "guard roo" Every time someone pulled up in the driveway he would crow! It was soooo cool

Cute little boy..... I have 4 boys that I am raising right now (marans) and I make my presence known every day with them all. Talk to them, just put my hand in the brooder, feed them treats, just sit there where they can see me (but not bother them), hold them regardless of how much they scream lol. I am hoping to raise friendly roos- as I have small kids around who adore my "babies". I do see one of our cockerels having less desire to be around me then the others, but I am working with them all, every single day. Persistence might work lol
