I have a blue laced red wyandotte I'm guessing a roo but not 100% sure. i hear someone trying to cock-a-doodle-doo but when i go out to look i guess they get shy lol if this one is the culprit he will need a new home. (san diego) if anyone wants him he's yours for free!

Yep, he's a dude. You can put him on Craigslist for free, and he should get taken pretty quickly. I've never had problems rehoming a roo that way.

I am no expert on that breed, but I would say based on age, comb, and wattles that yes, it is a roo.

Thanks for the info....funny this morning at 9:30 our rooster made his first crows....he let out about 6 deep crows...2 in front of my wife so she could visually confirm. Let the fun begin! We are interested to see if we allow some eggs to be hatched what a cross between the Dark Brahma and Barred Plymouth Rock will produce?
