Well I must resign I wish for you that it was a hen, but it does indeed look like a rooster to me. You could always be certain by waiting for him to crow he should be trying to crow any time now

Yep, your silkie still looks like a rooster I can see hackle-like feathers on his neck.

He does look like a boy. However I'm surprised how small his wattles are for his age.
